Character: A sweet, loving dog whose favourite hobbies are a cuddle and a belly rub.
Ideal Home: Arthur wants to be a constant companion! He would suit a family who would like a shadow around the house (e.g., retiree, someone working from home or who can take their dog to work). Because he gets anxious when left alone, he will settle to sleep but may have accidents, so he is best left in a large, contained and easy to clean area. He is great with children and is used to living with other dogs and cats.
On Walks: Despite his age, he is very active on walks and well-behaved with other dogs. He is great in the car, making him the perfect partner for day trips. However, he may bolt to greet another dog, so he is best left on the lead when by roads. He prefers walks on the pavement or in fields rather than woodlands, and is reluctant to venture out in the rain.
Health & Care:
- Arthur has hearing loss and cataracts but is otherwise in excellent health.
- Due to his breed, he needs frequent grooming.
