Cookie

Can anyone offer a very special home to our little three-year-old Cookie?

Cookie came into our care as an injured stray with a painful dental infection. After surgery and the removal of a few teeth, she has healed beautifully and is now a healthy girl once again.

Despite her sweet name, Cookie isn’t quite ready to be a cuddle-snack just yet. She isn’t feral or aggressive in the slightest, but she’s incredibly shy and tends to freeze when people get too close. We’re very reluctant to send her back out to fend for herself, as she deserves someone watching over her, but she’d still prefer a low-human-contact lifestyle… for now!
Every so often she surprises us with a tiny spark of curiosity or a moment of gentle affection, hinting that, with time and patience, she may blossom more than expected.

We’re hoping to find her a peaceful home where she can enjoy quiet corners, cosy hiding spots, and eventually safe outdoor access. She’d be perfect for someone who wouldn’t mind a “hands-off,” mostly self-managing companion..perhaps with a helpful interest in pest control.

If you have a Cookie-shaped space in your home (and heart) for a shy little soul who wants safety, calm, and the freedom to choose friendship in her own time, she might just be your perfect match.
